Justin, Re Terry Pratchett (from yesterday)
Go to http://www.addall.com/, enter Terry Pratchett and search on author to get an idea of his body of work. There are three pages of titles alone - books & audio. Surprisingly, a similar search on Isaac Asimov only comes up with two pages! I didn’t think anybody was more prolific than Asimov.

thanks GEE1A!

interesting since pratchett suffered from alzheimers
LadyThornewood said, 3 months ago
Ironically, that would explain a lot of his works.
I love him. He’s brilliant. But still… it explains a lot.

“Explains a lot”?! Good Lord.
Creative genius explains his work.
Alzheimers, in stark contrast, is a ghastly tragedy that will all too soon deprive us of additional Discworld romps.
kestrelle said, 3 months ago
Actually, Mr. Pratchett’s struggle with Alzheimer’s is a relatively recent happening, thus his exceptional writing can only be chalked up to his inate brilliance.
tortiequeen said, 3 months ago
Pratchett was diagnosed last year. He is brilliant and has a huge body of work that he has finished before any impairment set in.
He isn’t that old. It is a shame. Dealing with Alzheimers
is hell. Been there done that. sadly

I can see blaming Robert Heinlein’s brain tumor for some of his pre-surgical output, but PTerry has a razor-sharp mind that is now being stripped from him by slow degrees. Hardly something that was hurting him twenty years ago!

The most complete Discworld website I know of is “the L-space web” http://www.lspace.org/

Justin, when you were at ComicCon, if you saw a guy like in
http://www.flickr.com/photos/22772439@N04/3770669959/
he’s Rincewind (with The Luggage) from Discworld.
Gotta feel sorry for Boody at this point.

Things have looked better for good ol’ Boody.

How can anybody feel threatened by a lavender lance? Unless you’re colorblind, then it looks like any other lance.

You know that if a knight is wielding a lavendar lance he is one bad dude and secure in his masculinity. Or her masculinity, either way.
She had a
lavender lance,
The kind you find in a second-hand war
Lavender lance
And when it was war she didnt need much more
Lavender lance
I think I fear her
