Bad idea to start a taunting war if you can’t take the stings and arrows that return fire …

Spiders are cruel. But, the bee deserved it: she started the taunts, and she’s still hanging around, isn’t she?

Spiders are lucky. Black Widows have an hour-glass figure… nyuk, nyuk…

BMonk: I’m curious, why do you assume the bee is a female? I’m not criticizing your comment, I just never thought of it. I think that’s interesting.
Oh, and sorry about the repeats lately, I haven’t been feeling 100%.
So you can expect more here and there while I’m trying to get better.
Cheers.

Why assume the bee is female? I hadn’t really thought much about it. Two reasons, I suppose: workers are female; only drones, which are a few % of all bees, are male. And outside the hive you’d probably not find a drone unless he’s chasing a virgin queen. I’d think a guard bee (worker) is much more likely if, as I assume, the hive is in that trunk to the right.

I’ve got to confess that I too would have guessed the bee was female, because we tend to think anytime anyone would be upset about looking fat in stripes, it’s most likely a female. Hell, we guys put on anything and don’t usually give a bleeep what we look like. LOL

Someone was asleep in biology class! ALL worker bees and guard bees and queen bees, etc. are female. The only males in the hive are the drones, kept around for breeding purposes only when the queen flies.
And yes, the bee deserved it.

Justin - The repeats are fine, I haven’t seen most of ‘em anyway.
.
The bee must be from SOTU, it hurled an insult thinking itself better. NOT!!

Don’t the drones die after mating? Must be depressing to be a drone. Even worse than looking fat in stripes.

Oh no way. I’d never wear stripes in my battle of the bulge.
Maybe I’m more vain than I ought to be, or I’m more honest than I ought to be.

verticle stripes are our friends.
I can’t figure who’s side I’m on. It was cruel of bee to taunt spider, but spider’s comment was really really cruel. I feel for bee. (shrug)
Anyhow, no problem with the repeat Justin - I seem to have missed it the first time.
