Umm… Loki as a goat or ram? Which edda are you reading from Justin?

teaguemj: You sound like you disapprove of marriage equality. Only adults who can understand and sign a legal contract - which is what marriage is - can marry. No animals or children allowed. As for same-sex marriages, which I suspect you’re on about, if you don’t like them, don’t get into one! But don’t force your opinion on me or anyone else.

Jesus said, “In the Kingdom to come there will be no marrying or giving in marriage.”
So any “True Christian” would oppose any form of marriage.
(^^^ That was a joke. ^^^)

I’ve always been a follower of the Voltaire premise that people can do whatever they want as long as it doesn’t interfere with others…so go nuts Narcissus!

What with loki being the trickster his opposition is interesting as a plot point. With his brother famously using goats to pull his chariot loki’s depiction as a ram is also an interesting plot.

You tease us! The Night Owls stops at page 98. Thanks for sending me over there, though – it looks like big fun!

To the Voltaire maxim, I would add the corrolary, “… and as long as it don’t spook the horses.”

The Night Owls page 99 is up now as of 10:30 am EST.
PLEASE go back and check it out! You can register to add them as a favorite and rate them too! I know Boody likes them very much… :)

Roger, bnTotoo says:

Does that include saying, “Frau Blucher!”??

I just saw this in the paper this morning and I was hoping for an excuse to share it. Ed Stein is one of my favorites.

One thing about marrying one’s self: It’s til death do us part!
Justin: Thanks for the pointer to Night Owls. Looks like a good comic.
That current one is a clear demonstration of the law of unintended consequences

Thanks Doc, I bookmarked that one! Good comebacks from Roger and bmonk too.

As I understand it, Loki (like Raven in native mythologies) took on both male and female personae at different times, as well as the characteristics of some animals. This may be what the comic is referring to.

Hey Uncle Mike, this is Peter Timony, writer of Night Owls. I just wanted to assure that our homage to Mythtickle was done with kind permission from JT, who is and has been a friend of mine for a long time.

Ah, my two favorite comics: Mythickle and The Night Owls, together at last.
