Today’s two-fer is to make up for my power being out from Sandy. As for yesterday’s strip…it’s still odd to me that there are a ka-jillion family strips, and strips about kids, and animals (heck, if you read a one sentence discription of ‘Get Fuzzy’ and ‘Garfield’ you may not know they were different strips…and they WAY are :D ) and yet if you set a comic in an office, and it’s a Dilbert knock off. Not complaining (I don’t have a horse in the race any more :D ). It’s just odd to me.

Your comic is nothing like Dilbert. Atleast to me. I can not stand Dilbert. But love this comic.

I have only recently discovered “My Cage” – I love it and don’t find it ‘Dilberty’ in the least.

I think the ‘kajillions of strips’ thing is why there’s a difference. There’s kajillions of strips about (pets/family/whatevs) so those are just genres to most people…there’s only a handful of strips set in an office, so a lot of people see all of them as ripoffs of the most prominent (though far from best) example thereof.

BTW: I’m not putting down ‘Dilbert’ in the slightest. I just find it odd.

    Dagwood’s a Dilbert knock-off too. Shameless.

One of the rare times that Violet smiles. She normally doesn’t.

Considering that part of the time “Blondie” takes place at an office you could call “Dilbert” a knock off of “Blondie” using that loose criterion.

“Dilbert” wasn’t even the first office-themed comic; “On the Fastrack” predates it. And is more enjoyable today IMO.

If I saw the first part of this twofer alone, I’d suspect that Violet was doing the test. But her dad lacks perspective: What better guy would want Violet?
