When I was first conceiving the characters and the laws of their world, I myself questioned whether or not wearing a hat would pose potential hazards for Levi. Is his halo hot? Would it burn through his hat or would its proximity to his head burn his hair off and his scalp? The vast majority of the rules of the world here come from my favorite movie “It’s A Wonderful Life,” in which a grouchy man (think Judy) is shadowed by an obnoxiously cheerful angel (think Levi) who returns in human form, seen by all. There are few very, very subtle details peppered throughout the series that highlight the differences between those who are living and those who aren’t though. If you have a sharp eye, perhaps you spot them. Thanks for reading, everybody. This should be a fun week of strips.
