Sing along with Sherlock: “I can dig it, he can dig it, she can dig it, they can dig it, we can dig it, you can dig it — oh, let’s dig it…”

My mom worked in a bank in the 1950’s. Old farmers still didn’t trust the banks with all of their money. People would dig up buried money reserves and bring it in to pay bills. Old buried money has a distinct dirt smell.

Just goes to show how times have changed. TODAY, you can trust a banker like…like…
    Uhhh, forget it.

Mutt can smell money a mile away, especially Jeff’s. Never works for it though.

Reminds me of a story my dad told about him and his friend Davey when they were kids. When they got some money they would always bury it to use later. When they went to dig it up, the money would never be there, unless Davey wasn’t around when the burying occurred.
