I wondert if Mutt is a descendant of the hero from Virgil’s “Aenead”.

My Dad’s middle name was Enos, he hated it!

Mutt’s first name is Augustus. This is a major typo. Eneas is the name used in the Spanish language version of this strip – Benitin y Eneas.

Out cold again, Jeff? I hate waking up on Winter mornings. It’s
the ideal season where your bed needs you. Or rather YOU need the bed.
I have no middle name… My full name is long enough.

Interestingly, the Spanish strip today didn’t even use the name Eneas in the speech balloon in the first panel. Benitin (Jeff) says, “No vas a levantarte hoy?” which means, “You’re not going to get up today?”

Wow! And Earlier this week I learned that Jughead’s (from the Archie comics) real name is Forsythe P. Jones.

As much as Horace Debussy “Satch” Jones (Huntz Hall in The Boery Boys series) was related to composer Claude Debussy. ☺
