    I’m actually on the salesman’s side on this one; all that ridiculous talk about the customer always being right makes customers think that consideration and common courtesy only have to go in one direction, and that it’s okay to abuse people who are just trying to do their jobs.

    Years ago, I ducked into a florist shop to escape a sudden thunderstorm.
    I was upfront with the clerk, and he was very nice about it.
    But I did buy two potted ivies before it cleared up.
