    Since the strip is 100 years old, and since these are “reruns”. I would say that for a while both Mutt and Jeff were bachelors at first and Mutt later met his wife and married her. To suggest anything else is to have a dirty mind.

    Yes, we were not always terminally paranoid homophobic sexual obsessives in this country. There was a time not all that many years ago when men commonly shared the same bed together without any sexual intent or even any thought of sexual intent.
