Does the vice squad know he has one of those in the basement?

You know, if you cut the tube open and spread it flat, you can scrape the smears off.

Might be able to squeeze one more brush-full out of it that way! (I try to squeeze to the very last paste, but only by hand.)

There’s about 3 more portions if you cut it open. One from scraping, like Pacopuddy noted, & 2 more hiding down near the opening

The new material they use does not compress the way the old metal tubes did; I think Dee is right- cutting it open is the only way.

I REALLY HATE the packaging of many expensive “beauty” creams (with springs and pumps that occupy more space and make the last product harder to extract).

My metal shop (and little red vice) are in an upstairs spare room, not in the shop in my garage (stuff like my kiln – that need ventilation) are in the garage.

Monty is my hero [been there done that] but I like the idea of cutting it open better.

I need a little vise like that for all my tubes, not only toothpaste. What a great idea. I wonder if they have any that just clamp on to a counter or maybe even suction cup. Oh, forget that last one, mine are textured. I think a trip to Princess Auto is in store and it is right next to Fabricland. A pairing made in Heaven.

The toothpaste companies have us all snookered anyway. You only need a tiny dab of TP to clean your teeth. Those commercials and ads showing a full brush are just salesmanship. It’s soap. How hilarious is it that people use so much they have to spit out midway through cleaning. Use less! About a quarter inch on the brush is plenty.

There is a small plastic device you can purchase from the toothbrush/toothpaste aisles of many pharmacies that squeezes the toothpaste tube much like the wringer part of the old-fashioned washing machines.

slamming the open tube with a hammer and then scraping the toothpaste off the wall works, too.
