    There are AA batteries, AAA batteries… What about plain old A batteries? There are C batteries and D batteries, why is there no B batteries?

    Monty is eating a proper breakfast. He won’t pass out the way E.B. did. Be sure to eat your breakfast, kiddies! it’ll keep you above C-level!

    @PICTO

    From someone who’s had a strong interest in WW I aviation….

    My understanding is, from all I’ve read, that during the war it was called The Great War since nothing else compared with it before then. It wasn’t called WW I until another world war came along later.

    Hello Dunestrider;

    “A” batteries and “B” batteries were used to power radios back in the “golden day of radio”.

    They were big and heavy – and instead of 1.5 volts were 90v and 45v.

    A household can never have enough “AA” batteries.

    I figured he woudl have an adapter that would let him use
    anything available or at least rechargeable heavy duty ones
    built in?
