Yikes. Fleshy might have forgotten to apply his SPF6000000, which could be a problem.

Fleshy is a brilliantly understated opportunist! All hail, Fleshy!

That’s too big to be Fleshy. It must be the Pink Panther.

I once had a cat who did not mind water. She seemed soo curious about the source. She would stand in one side of double-welled kitchen sink and stare up into the faucet, so I started turning it on just a trickle. Did not even have a decent camera back then but just imagine a young cat with water trickle around her ears and she would even continue to stand and play (using one little paw on the stream) if I closed the drain so she was sitting in inches of water ;-D

You’re right, some cats don’t mind water, even enjoy it. I have a 2-month old kitten who loves to lick people. He licks everybody, even strangers he sees for the first time. He licks their hands, arms, faces, beard, ponytails, whatever he can reach. Just goes to show that every cat is unique, and they cannot be generalized.

Meddick’s foreshortening of Monty at the grill is very well done. No easy feat unless you know your character in three dimensions and then are able to cheat to make it recognizable to the reader.
The greyscale (precolored) version of this strip showed an excellent understanding of what would reproduce well in rendering the water.

Yet my dog didn’t like water. She would walk fine in the rain but walk around puddles and sprinklers. Go figure.
