    Arrowheads are not normally thought of as part of the Neanderthal toolkit; but, then, these are misidentified by Monty. They are clearly spear, or javelin, points. I’m sure the chap doing the flaking will straighten out the flake….

    They could be atlatl darts, which are thinner than ordinary throwing spears, although they would normally be longer than the ones Monty is looking at. The atlatl predated the bow.

    Speaking of time travel ysterday my daughter posted she was bored and was ready to don a lab coat, go out and grab random people and ask “Did it work? What year is it?”
