Yay, another road trip! And don’t forget to bring home a Neanderthal. It won’t be a patch on Chimpy but still worth it.
(Btw, the word in usage now is ‘hominins’)

    Tattooed….
    Will there be a test?
Do I have to use it in a sentence?

Monty, get your mind out of the gutter! You will not be videotaping an interspecies porno! On the other hand, if some hot Neanderthal red-headed chick makes a move on you, you could end up just what SusanSunshine feared….

If Monty’s his own family tree, that’s extreme inbreeding.

Doc doesn’t need to go back in time, he just needs to watch Buckwild on MTV.

Um, not “in” breeding, but “inter” breeding…. i.e, the suggestion is that Neanderthal interbred with other hominids and that Neanderthal traits were bred away as a result. Kinda opposite of the inbreeding link you posted.

Disclaimer: I am not, nor have I ever been a believer in genetic evolution. I am a creationist. I have also seen living persons who looked quite like Neanderthal.

Like many other groups of people they may have assimilated into another society or largely died off if not.

Why other humans of course. They have found DNA bits scattered in humans.
    -
The thought is that Neanderthals were smart but rigid in their thinking. Why they didn’t adjust to the world the last time it changed for them.
    -
Some were out competed, others were assimilated.
