They only ate turkeys who died of natural causes and who had previously agreed to donate their tasty carcasses to the cause of inter-cultural harmony.

a turkey is no more closely related to a parrot than a human is to any other mammal. Well, a little closer but people eat monkey meat so my point remains valid.

    Soylent Green is people!

Some say that it is unlikely that turkey was the main dish and that it was more likely venison.

Pilsner’s blissful ignorance must surely be shattered someday! But is is nice to see Moondog’s concern for his little chum.

This brings to mind a cartoon I saw called Sad Day on Sesame Street where everyone was sitting around a table with Big Bird as the main course. I must have deleted it.

I roast turkey breast so often, I used to wonder what my parrots thought of that. I love to see the concern for Pilsner, tho’

For the very first official Thanks Giving no turkeys were served. Venison and lobster but no turkeys and no bread or pies either. Later the Wompanaugs probably regretted helping them survive.

Probably not lobster, early on, they thought they were giant bugs in the water.

Is Pilsner squeamish about eating birds? I’m not squeamish about eating mammals, even though I am one.
