The adventures of the Dairy Queen gang all over again…

That doesn’t seem to have involved much witty banter: more batter than banter, in fact. Sorry, Monty, you are no “eccentric artist/author”; just another everyday mugging victim who probably provoked the baddies by his appearance….

Dressed like that he’s get beaten up in Mothercare!

If you’re going to dress like a clicheéd writer, then you need to act like one too. Which means no going to Dairy Queen or McDonalds. It means you go to small cabaret-style night clubs drinking absynth or something else suitably anacrhonistic.

If you want to be a pretentious writer or artiste, you must also be a pretentious wine drinker. And make up random comments about the wine (“fruit overtones”, “hints of guano”), even though it tastes like grape-flavored vinegar.

Sorry, Monty, this is America, not England.

I’m surprised he didn’t get beat up in the driveway of his house!

Painful experiences give you something to write about Monty
Maybe not the best inspiration for a children’s book, especially considering Monty’s childhood was probably pretty painful too

So — it is a “natural” thing for you, that people get “beaten up” by other people, just because they are dressed somehow different?

That “Doctor Who” style probably does play better in England.

Didn’t James Joyce dress that way?
