Norman’s father probably knows very little about pigs and Norman is just a ignorant about living on a farm.
You don’t have to eat with the pigs when you live on a farm.
But, if you observe how pigs eat when given a choice between healthy food and watery slop, you will notice that the pigs don’t really like slop and will not touch it if given a choice.
Some people might think that Francis’ apartment looks like a pig sty; but, NOT even a pig would live in such filth.
Contrary to popular opinion, pigs are not really unclean animals.
