    Well, his sister does have a job and is not a free-loader.

    Francis’ trashy personality has to do with the fact that Momma raised him and never taught him to be responsible.

    She waited until he was an adult to attempt to do that.

    In a recent strip, Francis implied that his father died when Francis was a really young boy or probably a baby.
