I asked a produce guy at the store where I worked what was the world’s best selling fruit. He guessed bananas or apples, it is actually the fruit from which the coffee bean is made. He remarked that he thought I didn’t know beans, turns out I do after all.
"Moderately Confused is an extension of my daily thinking routine, says Jeff Stahler. "I'm used to observing the front pages of the news and commenting with a cartoon. But every day, the rest of the paper tracks the culture, and all of those stories are rich for commentary, too. This panel gives me an outlet for observing those back pages of the paper that I enjoy reading as well." Coffee beans are not beans, but are actually the pits of the fruit from which it comes, which is called cherry.
