    I think that instead of saying he stayed 10 days, he’s equating the time he stayed to the amount of weight he gained during his visit. You always (over)eat a lot of rich meals when visiting family.

    I think you’ve got it!! I agree with it too. Just went to go visit my mom for 5 days and I think I gained at least 5 lbs.

    Cartoonist’s note: Sorry for the confusion. My thinking was as we travel from airport to airport these days. Maybe we are concerned more with airport fees more than the length of time of our stay. Thanks for all of the comments!
