This is where the audience jumps to their feet, applauding and screaming and whistling.

Looks to me like the world is trapped now by the force that previously hailed itself as the world’s savior.

The only thing that works best is Capitalism tempered by Socialism. The only thing.

Many decades ago, a young British singer named Laurie London (probably spelled the first name wrong, but how do you make a name like that sound masculine) had a number one hit song, “He’s got the Whole World in HIs Hands.” Alternativley the whole game was stalled and somebody hit the “reset” button. Screen message: “Do you want to save this game or start a new on?” I think most of us would start a new one. Let’s have a show of hands.

No the earth was dying from the intertwined dragon of unrestrained corporate parasitism. Now it is connected by people all over the world.

Walmart employees are so underpaid that they require $2.66 billion in government assistance each year in the form of Medicaid and food stamps. In fact, in some stores as many as 80% of the employees are on food stamps. So the low prices, which you really don’t always get, are being subsidized by our tax dollars. Doesn’t seem right, somehow.
.
Meanwhile, Walmart CEO Michael Duke earns more in one hour than a typical Walmart employee makes in an entire year ($16,800 an hour vs. $13,650 a year.) It doesn’t help that the company is accused of engaging in wage theft by refusing to pay proper overtime, refusing to honor the minimum wage, and making illegal paycheck deductions.
.
Walmart makes enough profits, over $15 billion a year, to pay their employees well and still laugh all the way to the bank. So why don’t they?
.
Why should my tax dollars subsidize Wall Mart employees?
End socialism for the rich.

I don’t think my life is better. I have just experienced enough of life to know that you don’t judge people because of your own faulty thought processes. What made me angry with you is your insidious remark " people that can’t get jobs and blame capitalism for their continual failure". You words bespeaks an evil of spirit. Your words bespeak someone with a narcissistic self-image and someone that’s condescending to others because you think yourself somehow superior. You live in a cloistered world. You are unable to understand and are afraid to learn, how the world actually works outside of your fantasy. From your condescending remarks I’m certain you have never suffered a day in your life. You undoubtably have never done an honest days work in your life. You have never lost a loved one. You have never suffered from disease. You lack the common decency with which God endowed the rest of humanity.
