If there is a choice between making a profit and polluting over preserving any wild life. The corporation moves to kill all the wild life to make a profit and have jobs. Jobs vs life on earth jobs win.

t might be tempting to wait for capitalism to collapse on its own. Unfortunately, that wouldn’t happen soon enough. Capitalism in crisis becomes even more ruthless, as we see with extreme extraction like oil from tar sands and fracking for natural gas. They no longer even bother to keep up the pretense of caring about the future.
Capitalism will ultimately destroy itself, but only when it’s destroyed all life on the planet, which is too late to matter. Until then, capitalism is all about breaking through limitations. That’s what it always does.

I must disagree with the premise of this cartoon. While capitalism has contributed survival threats to some creatures, the majority of creatures facing extinction is due to loss of habitat. The prime reason for loss of habitat is due to human overpopulation.

Tar sands is in Canada, they hate the environment? Are they only capitalist? Is it Canada in crisis turning even more ruthless? Could someone point out where marxism would not ultimately destroy all life on the planet? That might be hard since life on earth has gone on for close to a billion years and will last a billion years after man is gone.

So what do we do about human overpopulation? War? Birth limitations like China? More abortion? I’m DYING to know how to wipe out mankind to ensure that the cockroaches and bugs survive.

How about you leaving of your own accord. Or do you want to be a dictator about it?

I agree, I take no joy in saying it. And it will get far worse before it can ever get better. Maybe after 10 million years it will.

It certainly affects my fiction.

But why hasten our extinction for a larger quaterly cut of the money? And with an average 127 species going extinct a day as their ecologies are destroyed, that is rather serious. Read up on the Permian extinction and what happened after for about 5 million years the earth was so hot most of the remaining life barely held on. Only this time humans are causing it and will delay the next glacial event by 100,000 years. Not smart.

Less reproduction, child taxes, starvation and disease will do much, so will the wars of survival. Humans brought this on, Nature has no feelings, but we do. Unless you want to be psychopathic about it.

@Night-Gaunt49
Nature is nature, and we are finding new ‘species’ every day and ones that were thought extinct.
Permian extinction? Natural climate change? Delay the next time glaciers cover North America? Have you paid Al Gore today to stop this mass destruction?
