Capitalists must force open and seize control of more markets. This is one of the driving forces for imperialism. When more than one country does this, major inter-imperialist conflicts ensue.

Looks like Europe after WW2. Was Hitler a capitalist?

yeh, I know you and the president are stuck in the empire building myth. Sorry but in the real world the USA does not do this. Just ask Japan or Germany. If a country was lucky enough for us to kick their but we helped build them back. They became customers of us and we became customers of them. And about war, here is a fun fact, two countries that share a border and both have a McD’s have never gone to war with each other after modernizing and getting the fast food chain.

This strip is like watching a slow motion train wreck. Horrifying yet ya can’t look away. The building of strawmen and knocking them down goes on forever. I keep reading it hoping sooner or later she will get off of her soapbox.

These are reruns and I have seen what she did before she came here to go comics. It will be more of the same. Most memorable is the blowing up some electrical stuff, then getting a cop shot in the back of the head so her heroes could escape.
Bottom line, I will sum up most of it, the man, usa, capitalism bad. Hurt mommy earth. Need to go live in the forest and eat worms or something. Money bad, rich even worse, they care nothing but themselves and want to enslave us all, or maybe it is we are already enslaved and we just do not know it, hence the name of the strip.
There, I just saved you some pain.

Yes he was.

Our country has been using not just “shock and Awe” but “disaster Capitalism” to take over places at their weakest. We saw it after the tsunami after the quake that shifted the earth 3" back in 2004. Villages got pushed out and replaced with resorts for the wealthy and pampered. No more fishing for the original owners.

This isn’t 1945, and that kind of work isn’t done for real anymore. It is all about letting the corporations do what they want.

Typical, your memory is shot through with your prejudice, not reality. I was there.

The cop was murded by someone who had a vendetta against him hand nothing to do with the stupid and senseless sabotage.

Hurt you mother you hurt yourself. Especially since there are no other earths to run away to.

Imperialism, at least the part about invading and taking over various countries with guns and cannons, was done mostly before WWII. We even did it in the Philippines. The story goes that the Philippines spent nearly 400 years in the convent and then 40 years in Hollywood. However, using financial clout and influence will probably never stop. After all, would it be fair to leave someone on earth who has never tasted a Big Mac? In Bejing the McDonalds is two stories and so is KFC.

Good illustration Stephanie, especially so sad how the little girl is crying over I presume to be her Mother. For the sake of ……, and still Venom continues to spew upon the rubble.

Neocolonialism doesn’t take over a country by occupation. They have a cliche of the locals run it for them and do their bidding and funnel most of the wealth to the occupying power. Cheaper over all.

You need to ask the Plutocrats and their followers why war is so glorious to them? Like a blood sacrament it seems. It is in their militant version of Christianity.

This shows how thoughtlessly Americans send troops and war and bombs that kill real people. I think the tongue hanging out was poor taste.
I hope that we can do some small thing to help them after leaving their lives, their markets and towns in a rubble and the homeless, the children maimed and orphaned and don’t destroy anything else.
