This is the last of the cat drawings. They were an intermission to buy me time for the next round of cartoons. Coming up Monday: a new section explaining why capitalism isn’t reformable, based on a talk I gave last year in Berkeley.

Then how do we have commerce? So we dump the term economy? Nonsense.

capitalism and economy are not synonymous. Capitalism and commerce are not synonymous. Capitalism relies on profit and infinite growth, both of which are unsustainable. Also we need a monetary system based on true value (labor) rather than a debt based system we have now.

Thank you very much Stephanie, for your feline intermission :)
Was very much appreciated and great fun!

No capital is the what we use instead of straight barter. It doesn’t need infinite growth. Only since Reagan’s time have we been a debtor nation. Before that we were a credit nation.

It should be a system of buy and sell, work and get paid then purchase products to keep things moving. Lately the rich have monopolized most of the wealth again. That is unhealthy and destroys representative democracy.
