Whatever happened to the ‘occupy’ movement? Other than degrading into rich kids having sex in the streets and free food for the homeless?
sammysock said, 11 months ago
The occupy movement has no basis in reality. Those calling themselves the 99% were actually a small minority, most of whom were agenda activists or loafers. The 99% WORK for a living. They also have large investments through their IRA’s, etc in the very corporations the occupiers would destroy.

Maybe Stephanie M. has finally realized that in a fat country there really aren’t any revolutionaries.

What happened to them? Mainly: they were systematically cleared out by police in pretty much every city. Because they weren’t very organized, activists were unable to prevent it.

They are all over the place but when the CMSM doesn’t cover you and the police leave them alone you don’t see them. Occupy has worked to picket banks and foreclosures etc.

@sammysock
Most of the 99% don’t have good paying jobs, or any jobs at all. You forget we are in a Depression right now.

Yes the top 1% are fat yet they are busy with their revolution too. To make this country safe for them and no one else.

Is it true they were a test for Obama’s election? Since they didn’t work out they moved on?

In Boston, we don’t have too much starvation. But I sure know more working folk who are facing a bleak, impoverished old age than have sammysock’s “large investments.” A friend, 55, has a big 18K in her IRA, and can’t work much this year, as she’s busy dealing with her breast cancer. At least we have RomneyCare (parent of ObamaCare) here in Massachusetts !!!
Without it, she’d be doomed.

Yes, too many kids borrowed hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans to get a worthless degree that held no earning or job power in the real world. Human nature.
There were many ‘trust fund babies’ in the crowd. Human nature.
There will be poverty everywhere in the world no matter how much money is spent. Human nature.
There will be unemployed no matter who is President or which radical group has murdered their way into power. Human nature.
There has been foreclosures since house loans have existed. Human nature.
I have actually seen black people so they do exist.

“There will be unemployed no matter who is President”
True. There will never be a shortage of lazy, stupid people who are unemployable.
Human nature.
