Well it doesn’t help that you have conservadems like Joe Lieberman in your camp…and sticking your neck out for them is equally detrimental.

The Who’s song ‘Can You See the Real Me’ illustrates the reality that many of us are unaware of:
I went back to the doctor To get another shrink. I sit and tell him about my weekend, But he never betrays what he thinks.
Can you see the real me, doctor?
I went back to my mother I said, “I’m crazy ma, help me.” She said, “I know how it feels son, ‘Cause it runs in the family.”
Can you see the real me, mother?
The cracks between the paving stones Look like rivers of flowing veins. Strange people who know me Peeping from behind every window pane. The girl I used to love Lives in this yellow house. Yesterday she passed me by, She doesn’t want to know me now.
Can you see the real me, can you?
I ended up with the preacher, Full of lies and hate, I seemed to scare him a little So he showed me to the golden gate.
Can you see the real me preacher? Can you see the real me doctor? Can you see the real me mother? Can you see the real me?

Recovery?AAHAHAHA. Did anyone catch the dow closing today? And thats just the beginning of the reaction to the regulatory bill.
Gladius said, about 3 years ago
The DOW is also reacting to the Greek crisis. Don’t get too focused on U.S. actions.
Atma said, about 3 years ago
The Dow move was not the REACTION to the regulatory bill, it was the COUNTERATTACK. You think those people who stand to loose their gravy train at the big Wall Street “Investment” banks want the party-at-the-public’s-expense to end? Those are the very people who got the economy in trouble in the first place, and they know how to keep it that way. They manufacture a drop to scare the h*ll out of invested politicians for even thinking about regulating their reckless actions.
Think about it: around 70% of all trades on the stock exchange are made by these investment banks using HST (high speed trading). They sell and buy before you know what’s happening. Every time some regulation comes up they don’t like, they hammer the market by pulling out all their buys, then wait until it tanks, then open up their buys. Everyone else is screwed, and the politicians have filled their pants.
Another violent Dow (and other markets) reaction has been to the German government’s very wise decision to ban naked short selling of certain derivatives that create instability in the market. That also dries up the punch bowl in a very big European market. Investment banks around the globe are aghast.

trout, you do know that the sound effects man in the old silent movies would use coconut shells for hoof beats?

Yes, knew some of them- but they worked in “talkies”, as the organist did all the work in he “silent” theaters. Also did some stunt gags for a TV series. I was just focusing on the “communication” effort to a deaf society. When it come to our current crop of politicians, I figure you also know what we REALLY called the “prc-25”?
Bruce4671 said, about 3 years ago
uhhhh yeah It would get past the censors here.
