I have nothing against people who want to go “transgender.” They can do what they want. However, it won’t change the biological structure of each and every cell in their body, which will retain X and Y chromosomes in the same configuration as when they developed post fertilization. There are some interesting anomalous situations, but they are quite rare. The power of the human imagination is really something to behold. My suggestion is to accept these folks on their own level for who they hope to be while understanding the essentially harmless pathology that accompanies such a choice. Not a popular view, but a realistic and fact-based one.
