    Lame, IMO.
    No-one can be that stupid…..
The ACA only covers the finances..
We still need medical care reform/improvement…

Might I suggest that you read the index of the PPACA. There is considerable reform listed.

A short example from page 1:

‘‘PART A—INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP MARKET REFORMS
    ‘‘SUBPART II—IMPROVING COVERAGE
‘‘Sec. 2711. No lifetime or annual limits.
    ‘‘Sec. 2712. Prohibition on rescissions.
‘‘Sec. 2713. Coverage of preventive health services.
‘‘Sec. 2714. Extension of dependent coverage.
‘‘Sec. 2715. Development and utilization of uniform explanation of coverage documents and tandardized definitions.
‘‘Sec. 2716. Prohibition of discrimination based on salary.
‘‘Sec. 2717. Ensuring the quality of care.
‘‘Sec. 2718. Bringing down the cost of health care coverage.
    ‘‘Sec. 2719. Appeals process.

I like that last one on the list Mikefive put up: “Sec. 2719 Appeals process”

They should focus on that. Right now Obamacare appeals to nobody.

Omg! Mike actually said something negative about this administration and couldn’t spin it as a Republican debacle. Isn’t that one of the sings for Armaggeden?

What amazes, and amuses, me is the simple fact that, all the critics of the Health INSURANCE reform – including the one liner “experts” – claim that the Bill is “bad” because – among other ridiculous claims, that is – “no one read the bill before passage”. YET! Every one of these critics displays total and absolute IGNORANCE of even the most elementary and basic provisions of the Bill – never having read a word of it themselves either!

Reminds me of the Alaskan Ms. Moose-Skinner – or whatever her claims to fame might have been – who invented “death panels”, to frighten the children and old folks, without ever having read – or understood, if she even could read, which is open to question – a single word of the Bill.

Seems as if, in FACT, a member of the once upon a time Grand Old Party, Republican – name of Mitt Romney if memory serves – actually got the model of/for this Bill passed, up on Massachusetts, when he was Governor. They seem to like it there. But, today, these same once upon a time Grand Old Party, Republicans – currently known as Teabagheads – are fighting tooth and nail to get the National version of the Bill “repealed” – some 42 times now, yet!

Ain’t “politics” – and little spoiled brats throwing temper tantrums playing politician – just graaaand?

In point of FACT, the ACA “favors” no one in particular, unless one is attempting to make the point that allowing those who, for many reasons, were unable to have health insurance – even vastly over expensive insurance that oft times excluded more conditions than were covered – these persons may now get coverage. And, quite unlike the poster “Tigger” – who really doesn’t seem to have much touch with either this day and age, or any other REALITY for that matter – IF one seeks to consider “favor” from any sensible and reasonable standpoint, it is a “favor” to the poor, and previously uninsurable.

As to “hating facts”: That comment, coming as it does from someone who doesn’t seem to be able to apprehend FACT in the first place, is rather laughable.

I’ve often wondered what planet the poster now claiming to be “$16 Trillion in Debt”, was inhabiting. Perhaps that is where the Palin/Bachmann ticket won . . . somewhen. But, one does have to admit, he/she/it/whatever is good for a belly-laugh at times anyway. And with the posting above, one might even say, “good for a howler of a laugh”! That’s almost as bad a joke as the Palin “death panel” buffoonery.

Without the ACA he would have just died without even trying to get care. He had a “previous condition” so no insurance company would have touched him.
    .
ER would have seen him just before he died, and then after a day or two, and (with him not having enough cash on hand to pay for an extended hospital stay) thrown him out on the street, colostomy bag in hand.
