Get over yourself, Mike. Apparently, a great number of citizens in the great city of Chicago wearing he same shade of skin have as much of an issue with killing other blacks. Quit throwing gasoline on this bogus idea of rampant racism as the motive behind all black deaths.

The Martin/Zimmerman incident is not as cut-and-dry as the media depicts it. There were many people on both sides who wanted to politicize it and tainted the evidence pool. It was a situation of a series of errors in judgement on both sides. It definitely was not racially motivated.

We have only the word of Zimmerman for what went down that night. It makes much more sense that a young black man, used to being racially profiled and perhaps threatened on more than one occasion because of his skin color, felt threatened that rainy night by a non-black man carrying a gun. Zimmerman, pumped up on adrenaline and given courage by a gun and its cop-killer bullets, took the initiative at every turn. I think he’d been looking for an occasion to use that gun one day and Trayvon granted his wish. And you KNOW that if the situation and their roles had been reversed, dark-skinned Trayvon Martin would be sitting on Death Row.

Race/Religion/Culture/Class continue to divide neighbors and prevent objective, civil, and respectful discussion on important issues. The cannibalistic two party oligarchy driving our nation like us to be at odds with one another. The media likes to focus on stories that give most views at lowest cost and the corporations who own them have their own agenda as well.
It’s a good cartoon. A black youth is more likely to die young, usually due to other blacks, but that does not make the cartoon wrong. They often have worse schools, less job opportunity, and more. Generally speaking, police, store clerks, and others look at blacks differently than they do whites or even latinos. It’s better, but it needs a lot more.

Great cartoon. It sums up the basic attitude in this nation regarding young black men. The profiling is pathetic.

Physiological differences have nothing to do with individual character. Get over this America.

Looks like we won’t soon be out of racists. I think it’s a small-minded way to look at things. I know that someday we will all be multicolored.
Does anyone remember the star trek episode where all the people were literally half-black and half-white OR half-white and half-black? The ones who were half-white discriminated against the ones who were
half-black. I hope you can see the insanity of that situation.

There’s plenty of hands waiting to shove that kid off a cliff for their own purposes, and they all need to be slapped hard.

Good point. When it’s black on black killing, it’s more likely a result of economics. And of course that has nothing to do with race, right?

The thing is, I feel like crying with this mother. Good work, Mike, perhaps a bit too incisive.

“Way to go Lucko—increase the race card bait.”
Hey, here’s a guess, I’m betting that you’re white. Seems that white people, who are more or less responsible for the racist attitudes in this country, are the first ones to get annoyed when someone (other than them) plays the race card.

It wasn’t solely about race, it was about some puffed-up little man with a gun out to prove what a big tough dude he was, rounding up the evil black kids and making the world safe for democracy and the American way.
Zimmerman was a stupid tool with a deadly tool, which is always a lousy combination.

To ansonia: Facts have never been a consideration for Luckovich. Take the left’s talking points, which also ignore facts or rational thought, give them to Luck and watch the drivel he comes up with.

Where is the outrage? 3 black men murdered a white woman walking home from work. No national outrage about this.
Marley Lion was a seventeen year old white kid. He got lost driving home from a party. He pulled into a parking lot in a black neighborhood and was immediately attacked. Where was the national outrage???

Any anti-gunner will tell you that hollow point ammo is evil. I just didn’t realize that it was also considered “cop-killer” ammo. They are a joke.
