Thirteen states, including all of the New England states and New York, along with Canada now allow gay marriage. I don’t see our civilization crumbling.

Wow, yesterday’s strip this whiner is calling it the end of the rights world. Today, it’s the epitome. Maybe he needs to be on meds.

Meanwhile, in Horse and Buggy Wisconsin, we still have a constitutional amendment that defines marriage as “one man and one woman” and prohibits legal recognition of any “substantially similar” relationship. Oh…and we also have Scott Walker.

“Better check your facts before spouting off…”
But facts get in the way of spewing vitriol at the people he hates!

And don’t forget France — although to many people, that is not exactly a ringing endorsement.

That’s rather harsh, but Proposition 8 was passed largely based on propaganda paid for by the Catholic and Mormon churches. They should stick to their own religious issues and leave politics alone. We are supposed to have freedom FROM religion as well as freedom OF religion.

    .
Somewhat agree. What they need to be vigilant about is religious freedom, the freedom to practice their chosen faith. What the government decides to recognize as “marriage” is not business of any church.

The claim that “Mormon money swept the vote” has been determined to be a myth: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-moneymap,0,2198220.htmlstory
    []
Not only did the “No” crowd have $6 million more in their war chest than the “Yes” crowd, they also had $2 million more from out-of-state than the “Yes” crowd.
    []
If anything, the purported “Mormon” money simply brought the “Yes” crowd closer to parity.

“Time to move on to polygamy.”

Quite frankly, I could not care less who wants to get with whom just so long as they are able to give legal consent and enter into the relationship of their own free will.
