    Sadly there could be another Ostrich — or Donkey — in the picture.

    Taxing more and more and taking from the rich will not solve the unemployment issue long-term. That’s just libertard thinking & Robin Hood was a story.

    And funneling more money into the pockets of the rich is going to leave everyone working for slave wages. Trickle down economics is a bigger fantasy than Robin Hood.

    All the mishaps of the LibDems and Luckovich attacks the GOP…typical media misdirection tactic.

    You don’t think before you write this stuff, do you?

    I am mystified as to why people who obviously hate Mike Luckovich even bother to read him. I dislike the political tirades of Mallard Fillmore — therefor I do not have him on my comics list. It’s only logical.

    Neither party is focused on jobs. If we could change the pay structure for those on capitol hill we would see some action. If their pay had gone down an average of five thousand dollars like the rest of america then they would bust their buttts to creat jobs instead of hanging on to their ideology.

    Absolutely. But taxing the poor and giving tax breaks TO the rich is a proven solution.

    Boehner lied about making jobs a priority.

    “house has passed 14+ job bills senator hairy will not let them come up.”

    Good point. While it is true that those jobs bills contained enough tax cuts to further tank the economy, the Senate should have the opportunity to modify or vote them down. Not allowing them to be considered makes the Democrats as stubborn and intractable as the Republicans.

    Brutatowski: Sadly no. The one who live on their salary are the minority trying to do something. The rest live off their bribes and would welcome the reduction since it punishes those who serve the people and would increase their own income from “campaign contributions”.

    @Tigger

    Yes, Harry Reid should do the right thing, go over The House Jobs Bills and delete the Tax Cuts, pass it and send it back to The House for approval of the changes.

    Right. And when he sends it back without the tax cuts the right wingers kill the bill and end up blaming Harry Reid for the bill’s failure. Way to get stuff done.

    Its actually more like 30 “jobs” bills, but really they were just giveaways to big business. Here’s and example:

    HR 3630 – The Middle Class Tax Relief & Job Creation Act of 2011: In addition to freezing federal income taxes for three years this bill issues permits to the Keystone Pipeline BEFORE it is actually routed and suspends any enviornmental laws (like the new mercury regulations) and extends expensing equipment (private jets included).

    HR 3012 – Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2011: This bill eliminates employment-based immigrant visa caps and increases the number of working visas from 7% to 15%. Its a jobs bill, but it benefits undocumented workers.

    HR 3094 – Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act: A union busting bill. Provides employer with a list of eligible voters with contact information supplied by the employee. No jobs here.

    I would kindly ask one of you cons to NAME ONE BILL that your party tried to pass that does not benefit big business by giving them tax cuts, remove enviornmental rules in place, or gives them cheap undocumented labor.
