ENTERTAINER, yes! AUTHORITY, NO!!!
By the way, Hannity’s ratings are in the dumper recently.

I’ve viewed Hannity for a number of years – on an’ off – ever since he got his own show an’ was not constantly arguing with that doofus Allen Combs. Now, Hannity just argues with everyone else…
Hannity has become more shrill an’ dogmatic on his show over the last year or so…his hatred of Obama and literally everything in the current administration is so apparent…Hannity took the election results very hard…I didn’t like the outcome either, but he’s acting like he’s on a one-man crusade, an’ it ain’t pretty.
I know his is an opinion show, but he works too hard trying to get any guest he has to agree with him – he’s just not satisfied until they see an’ take HIS side of any point of contention, which (in his own mind) is the only side of the argument. He almost behaves like a Rush Limbaugh wannabee. What he doesn’t seem to realize is that we only need ONE Limbaugh at a time, an’ to paraphrase the late Lloyd Bentsen: “Hannity, you’re no Rush Limbaugh.”

Crybaby Boehner won’t be able to control his tea baggers and this next congress will be even less constructive than the last set of tea bagging deadbeats.

Latest report on hannity is he lost half his audience, limpy lost 3/4 of his networks last year over his derisive BS comments.
Both are now only supported by diehard delusionist’s who are riding the uranis bus circling the faux noise black hole of denial!

I just started watching Al Sharpton occasionally.
He is sometimes funny and more upbeat than most other political shows.

I don’t watch Hannity (don’t like his show), but you said he lost half his audience and that seemed odd. I checked with Nielson, and he still has more viewers than Piers Morgan and Rachel Maddow added together in the same time slot. Many years ago Limbaugh (dont’t like his show, either) claimed 600 radio stations and he’s still listed as having more than 600 radio stations that broadcast his show. Though he did loose a few advertisers over calling somebody a slut. I think your source may be exaggerating a bit.

So are the Maddow and Morgan viewers also tuning in to hannity’s show? And the hannity supporters not tuning in to Maddow or Morgan?

Google “hannity maddow” and you’ll get a page of search results. During December, the most-watched evening cable news shows went back and forth between FOX News and MSNBC. The only constant seemed to be O’Reilly always at the top. But Hannity, Maddow and O’Donnell traded places as 2nd and 3rd quite often. This doesn’t mean that Hannity is in the dumpster, but last year this time, the MSNBC shows weren’t even close to his ratings. The gap nearly disappeared after the Nov election. It is not valid to make any long-range conclusions based on 8 weeks during the holidays. The Jan-Feb numbers will be much more telling.

What the Republicans have to do is find a spokesperson as straight-faced deceitful as Harry Reid. Someone who can lie so earnestly and sincerely that the news anchors will adore that person.
Until then, The US continues down the slippery slope.
