   It may be because NO ONE has spent money like this before!
   I think that this was the first Presidential Election where the Unlimited PACS could run amok spending truly obscene amounts of money on BOTH sides was legal, thanks to the SCOTUS, and their decision.
   Also, This was the MOST expensive Presidential Campaign EVER!

   You could also look at it this way … the election might have been a bigger blowout and more seats may have changed hands in congress if they hadn’t pumped the money in. Count on Rove and the Kochs and Adelson to be back for more “giving” in the next elections.
