since there isn’t a whit of difference between mitt and obama on financial and policy issues, the only thing to vote on in this election is civil rights and character.

i TRUST romney to fill the binders in this cartoon.

    ZING!!!!

why he isn’t being called a flip flopper, i have no idea. if he was a democrat, the republicans would use that ‘flip flop’ term in every sentence uttered.

Right. It’s completely meaningless that Republicans constantly promise, and pass, more restrictions on legal abortion and contraception.

If conservatives get a majority in the Supreme Court, Roe vs. Wade will be repealed.

The binder of accomplished eligible women for appointed positions was not asked for by Mitt. It was given to him by a women’s organization. Lying once again.

FYI – there’s more to the whole “women make less than men” bit than just gender discrimination. There’s actually a whole host of issues at work, such as “women taking time out of their careers to raise their children” and “men being more likely to work overtime”.

Too bad too many people don’t want to take the time to research them out.

" this “binder thing is getting old.”

Only because it’s not applied to Obama. You sure seem to enjoy repeating any negative analogy applied to Obama whether or not it’s factual.

The Republicans can afford to fly their mistresses and daughters to Canada or Europe for abortions. The poor will go to the beauty salons for the hanger treatment, just like the old days, out of desperation. Repealing the right to make a choice will only affect the middle class citizens, who are the ones that actually make moral choices.

I’d ALMOST be inclined to believe you if Romney hadn’t picked Ryan as his running mate. Unfortunately, from here it looks like their dream scenario is a return to the days of the robber barons, with a nice pseudo-Christian cover story as to why the poor are wicked and deserve to suffer.
I’m just waiting for someone to “discover” a new translation of the Bible where Jesus threw the poor out of the Temple because they were bothering the moneychangers!

There is only one way a guy can keep saying all these ignorant things. Think about it.

“f conservatives get a majority in the Supreme Court, Roe vs. Wade will be repealed.”

    1) The conservatives HAVE a majority on the Supreme Court.
    2) Supreme Court decisions cannot be repealed; they are not legislation. They can be overturned, but there has to be a new case before the Court on which to base the reversal of precedent.

What the anti-abortion people have been doing, with greater or less amount of success, is to gnaw away at the edges of abortion with restrictions, but that’s (so far) only been effective at the State level. Kansas (for instance) can get a de facto ban on abortions if they simply make it too burdensome for anybody to perform them. But I doubt those tactics would work in, say, California.

(Interestingly, here in California the anti-smoking people are using the same tactics that the anti-abortion people are using elsewhere; they can’t get away with banning tobacco outright, but they can put so many restrictions on it that it becomes effectively illegal to be a smoker.)

Those “binders full of women” actually came from a coalition called Massachusetts Government Appointments Project, or MassGAP

There are multiple factors that influence how much money a person makes. For example, if a person works overtime throughout the year, they’ll earn more than co-workers who didn’t despite having the same rate of pay.

Too many people just look at the statistic, though, and figure that there’s rampant sexism going on. They don’t stop to look at the cause.

And with me, my work is never done. Period. In any given day I have about 50 things I need to do, and am lucky to accomplish 5 – 10.
