Yeah. Yup. That’s what happened. Obama forgot to show up. Guess he was trying to pretend to be the empty chair Eastwood was talking to.
There’s no excuse for Mitten’s lack of ability to play by the rules, but O should have fought back. After all, Romney is just one big NO-NO waiting to be called out.

Meanwhile Mitt the great gop hope is backtracking on his 47% misstatement and moving toward the center.

Yeah, pretty much Mike. Pretty much.

Yes, MIke, very atypical, agree. But Mitt was still working the earlier Republican debates, kept expecting him to offer up a bet.

Obama can afford the bet, since he’s been in office he has made millions off selling books full of lies and fabrications to the gullible .
I guess Luckuwich had no choice but to reflect reality in one of his panels instead of Liberal fantasy… it must have been hard for him,…

Yes, it was a disappointing out come. It does not change my mind about who will win this election. There are still two more debates to go and I think the next one will be decisive but I can not predict what will happen, that remains to be seen. Making excuses or trying to feret out some arcane reason for Obama’s performance is useless. He delivered the facts, he just didn’t really engage in real debate, but neither did mittens. We shall see what happens next.

It was the altitude in Denver.
Romney used to it, Obama just arrived.

Not trying to justify what we saw, but what if his strategists believed the best way to gain the high ground was to let Nitt be a fool and bury himself?
In hindsight they were right!

Omg! Mike actually pulled his nose out of Obama’s butt and said something honest about him. Sign of Armagedden?

Don’t rule out the rope-a-dope strategy. Look how much effective campaign ad material Mittens delivered to them, enthusiastically, free of charge, and potentially devastating.

@Gypsy8
In the past it has seemed that Obama was using that strategy ( give ‘em enough rope to hang themselves) but this time around he was simply unprepared for an opponent who had " etch-a-sketched" his positions into something completely different, constantly interrupted, talked over everyone, and basically ignored longstanding debate rules. Thankfully, by letting Romney run his mouth it does seem as though Romney’s multitude of lies is coming to the forefront of voter attention. Except inthe righty echo chamber, which sees motor mouthing as a good strategy.

@kamwick
I agree.

I have a speculation. He was nervous and they gave him some Lorazepam.
