So who was that last night and what did he do with Mitt Romney?

It seems Mike watched the edited MSMBC version. And he is afraid to draw the Pyrite Boy looking at his podium and grimacing ever time Mitt hit him with another fact.

I thought Romney did very well. Give credit where it’s due.

If EVER a editorial cartoonist showed his allegiance to party line dogma in the face of clear and convincing evidence to the contrary (not to mention overwhelming public opinion), THIS is it…

LOL – just saw today’s Varvel right after this one… perhaps it seems Clint’s speech was more spot on with fact than the rambling remarks of an old man.

I didn’t watch the “debate” because my mind is already made up to vote Democratic. On the radio (the Bill Press show) they are skewering Jim Lehrer on his pisspoor job of “moderating”.

I don’t understand why Obama didn’t bring up the fact that Romney’s plan would be impossible without one of his top secret loopholes being the mortgage interest deduction.
.
Obama acted like he didn’t want to be there.

Luckovich certainly knew ahead of time that R’money would lie his face off by talking out of both sides of his mouth. R’money would be the Prevaricator in Thief if elected, the Double Talker in Chief.

Nitty didn’t espouse any “facts” last night he reiterated his talking points but never actually gave anything but his opinions. Wonder if he still believes the 250K earners are middle class? Trust him to get it wrong in the end again.

More to the point this was more akin to a boxing’s first round, used more to feeling out your opposition.
Obama was in calm control taking notes while Nitt was repeatedly jumping in with assumptions using his talking points as substantiation for his claims and Lehrer was roadkill in the process.
Next debate will be considerably more interesting.

Such spinning from poor Mikey. Why can’t he just admit that Obama didn’t even show up, unless this backhanded comic sort of admits this. B.O. expected Jim Lehrer to give him a hand, he was ALL ON HIS OWN last night, and he was totally unprepared. He was so desperate and flailing, it was even a little uncomfortable watching him looking so pathetic.

Mitt seems to be coachable, which tells us NOTHING about how he would handle a crisis. Think 7 minutes of blank stares(Bush2 on 9/11/2001). Mitt and Dubya have a lot in common.

Wow A guy sits still, keeps doing what he was doing and let the Secret Service Guys do there job is nothing compared to Obama’s 3:00 am phone call on 9 11 12.

I must agree with you today, Harley. Mitt won the debate, hands down. What frustrates me is my horse had so much ammo that he didn’t use! Mitt made some good points, and slung some bull, and you know it. Don’t know what O was thinking. He had SO many opportunities to “47” Richie Rich and he didn’t do it. Congrats on last night. W for Romney. Bring some ice and Advil for the next one – you’re going to get some Commander in Chief.

The only thing Mitt said that I believe was that he would take a meat ax to PBS and destroy it. No wonder he rudely walked all over Jim Lehere.
