U.S Economy up that drastically? Puh-leeze. Please- someone, even Luckovich – please tie one thing Obama has done to why the economy is improving.
His policies will be the end of us as a world power – even Breton Woods is a sham now.

Hey bhinkle, the US has over 300 overseas bases. The country with the second largest number of overseas bases is France, with 5.

@bhinkle, the truth is that no President can have a significant effect on the economy. But since the Republicans have been blaming the economy on Obama since January 21, 2009, it’s going to be really hard for them to point that out now.

One blogger suggests (among other things) that the GOP is not trying to win this year.

Oh my god, a Bretton Woods (that’s with 2-T’s) Republican. Yes-Yes it must be a Repub-o-light who is decrying the possible loss of Bretton Woods’s (Bretton Woods II since 2008) economic policies. Aah, Lyndon LaRouche and his extreme left policies may not be dead yet. But who would have ever thought we would be hearing this from a Republican mouth! Or is it “little do they know”? My-my-my.

    From the “Twisted economist”.

Gas is going to $5 a gallon and Obama is as delighted as he can be about it. The media are so happy to point out that GM is back to work producing Silverados that get 2 miles a tank. (Where’s the enviro outrage? How’s that Volt workin;’ out for ya?) What do you think is going to happen to the demand for those Silverados when gas hits an all time high in a few weeks? Goodbye new GM hires! Hello 20% Unemployment. Goodbye worst president in US history. Do I look happy about it? DO I???
