This looks like a really bad scan to me. Is that just me? The caption and Luckovich’s signature is barely readable.

It is the truth–that is why it appears fuzzy to some.

This is a great cartoon. ANandy, I’m praying for you & folks like you who have to take even the time of day to find some reason to run down our president. How does it help President Bush’s legacy to malign his successor?

Hey UpChuck–How does it help Obama to contually state it is Bush’s fault or “I inherited…” About time he accepts some accountability for what he hasn’t done for almost a year.

Because he did inherit it. And btw, we are starting to come out of this depression and with every job saved or created, we will come out that much faster.

We could lighten the load by taxing the top 2% again.

If Reagan could, Obama certainly can.

Give us a break deadhead; Obama pats self on the back if it looks like good news and blames others if it isn’t. That is not accountability.

I know how badly you all want for President Obama to fail, even if it means that we ALL fail.

I understand that you would rather see the U.S. continuing in a crushing depression, because it would prove your point that a Republican should have been in charge. (I also understand that a Republican in charge would have perpetuated the recessionary decline, so it would have been self-defeating).

But the fact is, the stimulus is working and the recession is ending. Any economist you might have asked would have told you that when the economy starts growing, it has to grow faster than the population in order to absorb the job losses. That’s why unemployment was a major factor in American life for years after GDP started growing again in 1933.

I agree, illostr8. And Canada needs to send back all the Americans who come to free-load off our free health care and cheaper drugs and work here to send money back to the US. And I don’t want to learn the ‘Merican language either (where, apparently, “alot” is considered a word.)

Did anyone else miss the irony or was this just a Stan Collins thing?

“But the fact is, the stimulus is working and the recession is ending.”

    That is patent nonsense!

The GDP spike was a direct resold of cash for clunkers and the $8,000 - first time home buyer tax credit, neither of which is a part of the $787B HOAX, called stimulus.
