Possibly just an attention-whore hoax, who knows? Starting to look that way…

Kids safe, media happy, let’s go on to the next story – there will always be a next story because the media knows what sells, don’t worry about facts, hook the viewers and make the sponsers happy.

Almost makes you miss Anna Nicole Smith. Well, they won’t let her lie any more than MJ, so no “non-story” will ever die?

a few days ago there was a discussion about parenting …. these two seem to fall into the category of those that don’t …. if true, for five hours the kid didn’t respond to everyone searching for him and calling his name? And then CNN showed a YouTube video the family posted with the kids cursing. the father said he didn’t want to be a hypocrite and tell the kids they couldn’t use words he himself used … it apparently didn’t occur to father that the correct course of action was not to use curse words and bad language in front of 5, 7 and 9 year-olds. Sad. and I hope these people disappear from public view soon.

No Michael Jackson is not dead! He will live on and on in music, books, magazine articles, videos, and cheap merchandise for as long as there are companies that can make profits off of sad, delusional people.

I’m afraid the whole sorry fiasco was indeed, a publicity hoax. I really feel sorry for the kids.
fennec said, about 1 month ago
I think it may have been a publicity stunt that went wrong when the kid let go the balloon (or whatever) and the parents suddenly couldn’t find him (like what would a kid do who had just screwed up his parents’ big project do?).

and now the sheriff is saying it was a hoax, which is increasingly how it seemed to appear … this is a form of child abuse. sickening

Is Falcon’s Dad gonna pay the cost of the entire rescue opreation or are the People of Colorado gonna get stuck with the bill??
Michigander said, about 1 month ago
Just another cookoo couple setting a horrible example for their children. I hope that they have them taken away! They all learned to lie, deceive, and act on people’s human instincts to care, just to get attention and hopes for a reality show of their own. What the hell is the world coming to, anyway? Haven’t we any shame?

I’m confused… shouldn’t a political cartoonist actually comment on a subject thru irony or metaphor or something? This is just a wit-free depiction of what basically occurred.

^ you know, I agree with that assessment. There’s no apparent commentary on this toon.
