We’re not members of Congress. We BUY members of congress. How do you THINK we got Reagan to get government regulators off our backs?

Get your house in order before helping theres. This is main priority. If ones own house is in order, then it will be well enough to help others.
even before tithes, make sure your own bills are paid. This is the solution.

Mustbe has read Chinese philosophy,Confucious wrote about getting one’s own house in order first. Personal resposibility, then family, community and eventually the rest followed in an ordered, just society. The Individual as a foundation. Good toon.

yeah, right now, I’d like to get both Houses of congress in order. Constitutional convention! (I don’t really mean that BTW)

I occasionally think that the ancient custom of shunning would be appropriate for these scoundrels. Take care of your local business, and ignore (and don’t support!) the clowns.

    Remember, “Think Globally, Act Locally”.

^That is fine, but it does run the risk of falling into “Charity begins at home.” Which then runs the risk of falling into, “I got mine, so shove off.” Which is what we see above.

how many are living through personal anguish and loss, so busy trying to keep heads above water, they are unable to see the Big Picture and the New World Chaos?

I love the Citi ad where they tell you all the money saving tips that’ll help you retire. Like taking the shampoo bottles from the hotels!

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    The point is thus:

When the frightened masses are hanging onto their wallets, the local economy starves. This means that small businesses tank, and big businesses shed personnel to improve their “bottom lines.”

The result is the man above: No job, no insurance, no house, no more marriage.

ahab, I believe it makes sense to if one is well enough then that one is able to help others abundantly.
