Extremely BAD taste. W in no way will ever compare himself to the troops… and you all know it.

Bad taste, but it was Bush’s first. He has indeed compared his “hard” job to that of the troops, and been absolutely tone-deaf to the sacrifices being made by the troops and their families. No, this cartoon was nasty, but remember the root of the word.

He did say “Bring it on” and they did to the tune of 4000+ US dead, who knows how many Iraqi dead and trillions of dollars that disappeared like a mirage in the desert.

Dallas… an old neighbor of mine served with Patton … his favorite comment, “yeah, his guts and my blood”.

Tone deaf to the sacrifices of the troops? Well considering he wrote personal letters to the families of all 4,000 deceased, and most think they’re fighting a just cause and want to stay and finish the job…
