Obama’s strategy is to close his eyes real tight and put his fingers in his ears and pretend there is no terrorism.

If NATO or the UN wants to get involved, then the US can get involved as a part of such an effort. Other than that, most US citizen voters are just plain tired of the Middle East and want the US to not get involved in the insanity. And president Obama is just doing exactly what most of us want him to do.

And that is what he is elected to do, just as most if not all of the latest pols show, well perhaps not the chicken hawk ultra conservatives. Of course, if he were to do something precipitously then those same ultra conservatives would condemn him for taking that position!

What do the Saudis think we should do? After all, they are close personal friends with the Bushes — and business partners, too.

And now federal and state authorities are warning of the threat of imminent terrorist attack on our southern border.

“If NATO or the UN wants to get involved,”

Sorry, but are you guys aware the US practically runs NATO? And the UN has 5 members on its Permanent Security Council with veto powers, one of which is …Russia?…and the USA.

I’m getting the impression Americans are a rather forgetful lot. You believe in your own window dressing.

If the US gets involved in a military action against ISIS, it should be a truly international force, NOT another so-called “international force” consisting of some 150,000 Americans, about 100 French, 30 Poles, and perhaps three Saudis. Since we will be there to save the Saudi royal family’s butts the force should be truly international and consist of something like 50,000 Americans, 50,000 French, 50,000 Saudis, 25,000 UAE troops, 25,000 Kuwaitis, etc.

One question here is for how long the FOX News and associates can try to fool all the people all the time. One thing is certain, they have some fooled all the time. They are the ones that if Obama opens his mouth, they criticize it as weak and feckless. But if Cameron or even Putin opens his mouth, even if saying the same thing as Obama, they declare it as great leadership. But it is Obama that has ordered air strikes over Iraq. The FOX gang utterances are nothing short of unpatriotic and even seditious.
Thank God the international community has a President who thinks things through, does not bow to irrational knee-jerk reaction, insists on International co-operation, and searches for a plan that will not make matters worse. And you can’t ignore the fact that the right thing may be doing nothing there, but spending the resources on defense of the homeland at home. One only hopes he doesn’t get railroaded into doing something stupid by people who only speak out of hate, ideology, and hunger for power.

I would think the countries surrounding Syria and Iraq would be a little concerned. Europe is also a lot closer and a much easier terrorist target. If they can’t get together and work on the problem, maybe we should just let them fight it out and take on the winner if necessary.

To all you “Let’s stay out of it” people: that would be fine if we lived in a bubble. Unfortunately, this terrorist group has the resources, capabilities and stated desire to reach us here at home.
“Having no strategy” does not make us safer, it simply puts us and our families at risk. If we sit back and watch them grow even stronger, sadly we will regret it.

“……Unfortunately, this terrorist group has the resources, capabilities and stated desire to reach us here at home…….”
Or as George said, “fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them at home……”
    That sure worked out well!*

@RobertLanders: following your concept, we give up the republic and turn back to a pure democracy. In that system, we would still have slavery because that is what most people wanted.

Mr. Peace Prize does not have a strategy? you do not say, but I thought he was sooooo qualified because when he was a kid his book tells us he loved the sound of bells of morning pray time. I mean what does his advisers in the Muslim Brother hood have to say? They gave him such great advice during the lost year of Egypt. So much so they got a taste of what Radical Muslim is like that now they support Israel better then we do.

Stratfor has a short summary of what to do about the IS (DA in Arabic): Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Right now, the DA has hundreds of people with American passports who can enter the US with only the odd question about the beard, the kandoura, and their WMD.
