The more facts folks find out, the more they find out the TEA party folks are lying. Now there ARE some problems with the ACT, but they were written in by, or to satisfy, the Republican contingent, and of course, “corporate America” does have fingers dipped, or double-dipped, in BOTH parties. The fact so many people ARE signing up, and seeking help denied since Teddy Roosevelt first started the effort, well, let’s hope we can get the TEA out of D.C. and fix things.

I tried to sign up, but, in Texas, there are 0, zero, zilch plans on the exchange that will accept someone with my pre-existing conditions.

The ACA provides lots of money for insurance companies, but also obligates them to cover more than they did. (The ACA ensured that many people received rebates just before the ‘12 election, but it’s not clear if there will be any more rebates, since there is no conceivable purpose for future rebates: they can’t help with re-election.)

Will the net effect be a windfall for insurance companies, or will it cost them dearly and sharply lower their current profit levels?

    NO ONE KNOWS!

Not the Obamabots who think the ACA will provide all Americans affordable care (after all, that’s its name, so it must). And not the RWNJs who say it will cost the taxpayer a fortune and bankrupt the US to pay for death panels.

If the ACA was going to hurt insurance companies, I’m sure the Supreme Court would have declared it unconstitutional. On the other hand, if it was going to greatly enrich insurance company executives, the Republicans would not be against it.

Since the two main indicators are contradictory, WE DON’T KNOW.

Just exactly how does one get exempted from a tax law? Can I get exempted from paying income, sales, property, etc., taxes. Unsure how under the equal protection clause this is legal. It appears Obamacare can be implemented anyway the Dems decide, not the way it was written. Someone ought to take this back to court to question the legality of the implementation of the largest tax in human history.

What we do know is that legislation this far reaching and difficult should have a rock solid foundation. No one can say Obamacare( and yes, it’s Obamacare not the ACA) has been handled well from it inception. Why would our leaders try to implement this when at least half the country hates it?

The Obamacare website. Brought to you by the same folks that couldn’t even flatten a modified image file.

If it’s this hard to sign up, just wait until you have a claim.

You really can’t make this stuff up..

“Socialism. Ideas so good they must be made mandatory and enforced by the threat of government force.”

You, of course, are talking about what happens when we don’t pay the taxes that pay for public roads and schools, police and fire fighters, and the military. Welcome to society.

Not that your words ever mean much although they are often much mean. How is it that not the white house , the press , or anyone has numbers yet on sign up figures for the AHCA – but you seem to know that “so many” are doing so?

Yes, everyone was in favor of doing away with segregation and the government did not have to do anything to bring equality to blacks. (tho it has now been transfered to hispanics)
