Lester doesn’t approve of three, middle-aged, fully dressed caucasians sharing a kiss? Has he finally turned against the House Republicans then? Praise the Lord! And let praise of Education follow…

Not really my business as long as people have equal rights

If you’re going to illustrate typical polygamy, do it right. It’s not a middle aged woman with 2 middle aged men. It’s a middle aged man with a handful of 15 year old girls dressed in home made pioneer clothes.

The government has no business poking around in consenting adults’ sex lives. For that matter, neither do other peoples’ imaginary deities.

If they’re all consenting adults, who should give a crap?

That is so true Scott. They don’t want legal
equality which they have; they want approval and endorsement.
The rest of us really don’t care what they do in private. Go for it.
Just quit trying to force it down people’s throats.

I don’t like that with religions and I don’t like it

    with sexual orientation.
Do what you want and leave me alone!

The whole business about gay marriage and polygamy isn’t what people do. It’s the fact that they want societal endorsement of their lifestyle choices particularly if it violates your religious beliefs."

no we want the same tax breaks, health care proxy and 1100 other government ‘benefits’ you straight married people get as ‘special rights’. in short, equality UNDER THE LAW.

if it violates your religious beliefs, then you don’t do it.

I don’t give a damn if you approve or endorse what I do at all. What I do care about is that you give yourself special rights UNDER THE LAW and deny those same special rights to people that you don’t like.

1984, some pigs are more equal than others.

But they do have equal rights. What the gay community is asking for is special, more than equal rights.

    @Tax Man

We don’t have equal rights. Our state-approved marriages don’t count for federal benefits, and we (especially me being trans) can be fired in 28 states for sexual orientation or gender idenity/expression (I live in Maine where both are protected).

On the news yesterday, in the UK, a woman who has bad mitochondrial DNA is combining her egg with an egg from a woman with good mitochondrial DNA, and the egg will be invitrio fertilized. It is supposed to be the first combination of 3 people.

No, it’s that YOU feel that no one else can do something that violates YOUR squeamish factor. I am offended that people would call for tens of thousands of kids thrown off school breakfasts, but we can’t outlaw Republicans.

“Typically sx between consenting aduls is not legal in the case if incest.”

When was the last time you heard of adult siblings being jailed for having consensual sex? It happens, after all.

By the way, one of the main objections to incest in the Middle Ages and Renaissance had nothing to do with breeding monsters but with supplanting God in one’s heart:

One’s greatest love was supposed to be for God. Love for one’s family and love for one’s spouse were important, of course, but lesser in degree. However, if sexual love were ADDED to familial love, cumulatively there was grave danger that one’s sibling/lover would take precedence in one’s heart over God. It would be a violation of the First Commandment.
