   Do you forget who gave us the Patriot Act? Or how about indefinite detention? Or how about “enhanced interrogation” (by any other name it was still torture)? So just who loved taking away our freedom? What about our right to assemble? Anywhere bushy went he never saw the dissenters. He was too childish, too weak and too self-centered to allow anything but yes-men near him. And when someone did dissent in is presence or near him they were arrested.

   And the “libs” are taking away your freedom? Get a grip ima. You can still drink all of the soda you want, you just have to make more of an effort to get it. Oooohhh, I have to work to get what I want. Isn’t that what you “cons” are always complaining the liberals don’t want to do it work? Got that backwards there ima.

   The so called “Libs” aren’t the ones preventing gay citizens from enjoying the same rights as straight citizens, nor do they seek to shut down a women’s health care organization on the utterly false pretense that federal funds are used for abortions.

   Yeah, it was conservatives that voted to allow me (MTF transsexual) and my girlfriend (also MTF transsexual) the ability to get legally married with all the same benefits of a straight/cisgender couple.

   And hey, I see no problem with restricting what size crap drinks a restaurant can serve. I don’t want any more than a 12 oz. cup (no ice) should I decide have a soda. Want more? Buy seconds!

   Also, studies show that reduced portion sizes (on smaller plates, so it looks bigger) will still leave you satisfied.

    Indefinite detention: yet another reason war should be avoided. Tell me why we went to Gulf War I again? Are we safer because we invaded Grenada? And why are we in Afghanistan?

    I have stopped checking out books from the library. I purchase my books with cash. I use every privacy control I can find when I use the internet. I drive a car which has no computer.

    And to turn another argument on its head, if someone checks out a book about guns, don’t you want to make sure he doesn’t intend to use it? He might be a nutcase who will pass the background check, you know….

    Pete Townsend was working on a documentary on child pornography. He was arrested for doing research.

    And how would you like it if it was decided that everyone who calls Obama a socialist is now an enemy combatant? Hope you like the view from Guantanamo…..for the rest of your life.

    At our airports , to use their facilities without a hassle…
    At our clinics, where the doors are locked and unlocked 100 times per day…..
    to go, place to place, room to room freely..
    We are living in fear !
    Why do you think that so many wish the so-called Patriot Act GONE ???
    This should NOT be a war, but a serious wake up that people are sensitive, that people must be respected..
    And STOP with the childish “blame game”, Scott……

    Telling us that we can’t smoke in a restaurant where the owner wants to allow smoking IS taking away a freedom.
    Telling us we can’t buy a certain size soda IS taking away a freedom.
    Telling us what gun we can’t own IS taking away a freedom
    .
    Calling expending extra effort to buy 2 sodas instead of 1 “work” and attributing a nobleness to it is what makes me want to keep reading your comments. hahahahaha
