    Isn’t that what those people have always called him?

    “…those people?” Usually ‘you people’ are a little more subtle about your bigotry

    @bztk

    Yes you liberals and democrats are a little less subtle about your bigotry.

    Whooooo. seems you hit a nerve with the trolls on that one. Apparently they are becoming self-aware and don’t like being called for it.

    Claiming that Obama is NOT the messiah is not bigotry. However, the left isn’t subtle at all about their bigotry.

    You’ve yet to prove that liberals in general even refer to Obama as a messiah. You and all the other trolls are just plain lying as usual.

    I have to give Mr. Lester credit on this one.
    When I read the story yesterday I didn’t know if Jamie Foxx was for or against the President. Later I read that while we tolerate religious references like that, but in Islamic countries he would be put to death.

    It’s only conservatives that think Obama is the messiah, you never actually hear that from liberals. We’ve got our problems with the man. We’re just happy he is a rational, calm, and honorable man who doesn’t buy into the total anti-evidence, anti-science, power-over-patriotism world view that has become the stock-in-trade on the right.

    My circle of friends is a political cornucopia of America. Most are very independent thinkers regardless of mainstream party affiliation. I often end up being the voice of reason in many “discussions” (I’m a Libertarian). I used to think liberals could be extreme in their thinking until I became friends with a “progressive.” In his mind Obama has demonstrated himself one step away from being a republican. The good thing about social gatherings is nobody can get away with making vague statements or partisan slurs without someone calling them on it. I had to move a laptop into the living room for “look ups.”
    Of course this is California and we are known for being a bit off center…

    The fact that Jamie Foxx says something stupid doesn’t mean that everyone who supported Obama (or chose not to support Romney) thinks the same thing. Let us not forget how Pat Robertson issued a fatwa on Hugo Chavez on national TV, and that he asked God to kill a couple of Supreme Court justices because he disagreed with their rulings, and they were old and sick anyway. Don’t think most liberals believe that all conservatives believed that either.

    With all the really important things going on here, is Jamie Foxx’s blathering any more offensive than, say, Donald Trump’s? Or any more noteworthy?

    He wasn’t. He was probably olive-skinned, like most of the Semitic peoples of the middle east.
