Good toon. I feel bad for those workers who were pressured by union bosses to “hold the line” and now have no job.

Wrong! It was malfeasance by the guys at the top that destroyed that company, not the Union or the workers.

Sure pal. I didn’t say they destroyed the company, they just destroyed their chance at still working there. Maybe they all had other jobs lined up?

Some workers stood up for they believed in. Othes were swept along. The rich just got richer and the poor, poorer.

The BHO policies coming to a small town near you… exactly which plant in Ohio is getting to build jeeps for sale in China? Maybe the Twinkie workers can go there?

At the top of the union. Deny all you want, a union bankrupted another company.

What is stopping the union from getting a loan, buying the rights and equipment, and keeping the place running?
Come on unions, put your money where your mouth is. Stop robbing others.
Socialism only works as long as there is someone else to rob.

What upper management did may not have been in the best interests of the company, but the direct cause of Hostess going from Chapter 11 to Chapter 13 was the belligerence of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union. The Teamsters had had access to Hostess’ books and told the BCTWGMIU that the money wasn’t there and that they should change their stance on a strike. Now, all Hostess employees went from getting a reduction in pay and benefits to getting no pay and benefits. I somehow don’t think the members of the other unions are very happy with the Baker’s union.

Ever notice that business runs well without unions but unions don’t exist without business?

Unions are there to take, not make.

The CEO of Hostess will have a bountiful Thanksgiving, eating the blood of his workers.
