   I don’t know why any doctor would bother with “gendercide”; it’s a genetic fact that there’s more girls than boys in any given Generation.

   It happens in China with a one child per couple policy. It becomes a problem when you have to many men without mates.

   Why would any woman even think about an abortion based on gender (at least in the U.S.)? This is a non-issue, dragged up by the GOP to scare the stupid. I wish someone in power would call them out on it. Mr. President? Got a minute in front of a microphone?

   For those here who don’t actually pay attention to the news (and thus are clueless about the meaning of topical cartoons), there was a recent expose in which Planned Parenthood personnel were facilitating elective abortions based solely on the gender of the unborn child.

   But Democrats are saying that they won’t accept ANY laws that restrict abortions which are performed only as a means of sex-selection. In other words, they believe that killing a healthy fetus because it’s female is fine.

    I’m scratching my head. Now, just thinking out loud, in times past, it was the birth on sons that was celebrated because -in most societies – the family line (name) was continued through the sons. Also, the boys would become defenders or workers of the land. The daughters were property to be used as bargaining chips to improve the family situation or to serve the laird. So sons were important. Wars had to be fought after all.
    
    In today’s world, don’t we value the contribution every person makes? Civilized people should not be killing their children.

    This cartoon doesn’t make any sense at all. If the woman is a feminist, why would she “electively abort” a girl? Lester? What are you smoking? This is a non-issue in search of righteous indignation. Sorry, but ending health reform will kill FAR more children than “gendercide” ever will.
