As lacking as I find TSA procedures, namely “bad guys” shouldn’t even get in the terminal, so the current system is regarded as pretty stupid around the world, policy under Bush lead to modifications at the Pentagon, a field in Pennsylvannia, and the skyline of Manhattan. But those policies included ignoring all intelligence at their command, and so they went on to invade Afghanistan and Iraq with even greater stupidity.
I’d like to see exactly what “weapons” and “SIMULATED” explosive packages went through, and who was carrying them, and how well trained they were on how to act and “present” themselves to the inpspectors.
We shouldn’t forget that everyone under Bush was blind, deaf, and dumb (also mute on passing on facts).
Until we correct the underlying problem, like ADDING 33 agencies/directorships in creating “Homeland Security”, and the LOSS of connectivity and cross-communication, under the BUSH/CHENEY plan, problems will remain. And it shouldn’t be forgotten that the way the got it done, through LAW, not regulations, means our idiots in the current majorities in House and Senate must make the changes. Ain’t happening; too busy attacking and blocking the Executive branch for the next year.
