And… Obama didn’t take a “selfie,” it wasn’t his phone. What a right-wing media stooge. Dana Milbank had a good column on this — Obama’s “selfie” was nothing compared to Ted Cruz’s ostentatious stalking out when Castro spoke. “See? I can be a dick even at Nelson Mandela’s funeral!”

You tell us everything we know is wrong, tell me how you know what you know? Truth is when we get a into it, you make comments like old white men, or racist or anything else the takes it off the subject.

Probably because he is the most sensible, trustworthy, with America’s interests most at heart, particularly in foreign affairs and keeping America safe and out of foreign invasions.

One wonders how many commentators know why Rome burned in the first place. Who it was that sacked the city and left it open to attack from the northern European tribes.
It was not simply the emperors’’ behaviors.
One also wonders how many critics heard the interview of the photographer who took that picture of Obama AND the leaders of England and Denmark in that ‘selfie’.
Mr. Obama has failed to keep many promises and has shown he is a political novice in many ways, but he is only one of a large cast of politicians and bureaucrats who have failed to advance the US in a better way since the errors that led up to 2009. A selfie didn’t burn down Rome.
    Selfishness did.
    A lot of selfishness.

ROME is burning? Obama is Nero with a camera instead of a fiddle? What’s the disaster that Obama is fronting for? Mandela’s death? I must have missed the Fox ‘news’ Ramirez based this one on; I don’t get it.

I agree that Mr. Obama deserves much of the criticism he receives, NFL, but you make my other point… those you call Obamabots point elsewhere, but so do those who hate Obama’s policies. There are too few amongst us willing to criticize “their side” as well as those whose policies they don’t like.
This tendency to cling to a side makes us fail to work towards finding candidates who might are able to use their committee and subcommittee positions to talk to REAL professionals in the fields those committees oversee. Instead, the leaders of those committess stack the witness box with people who will ONLY say what that committee majority wants to hear, not what it NEEDS to hear. A committee on religious liberty run by a Democrat might be stacked with Atheists who are highly separation of state bound, while a committee on women’s health matters run by a republican might well be stacked with witnesses who are all male with a religious point of view.
For gov’t to work, all voices MUST be represented, or there is only the illusion of Taxation with Representation.
I voted FOR Mr. Obama in 2008. I voted AGAINST Romney in 2012. I hope 2016 will give us someone to vote for. Perhaps you can help too. Find out how to be part of your state caucuses when it’s time to pick candidates. Every election cycle, I get letters inviting me to the Dem and the Repub meetings to pick candidates. I’m hoping to attend them next time. Wish me wisdom and luck.

Probably most of you think that Obama was sharing a light-hearted moment with some other world leaders at a celebration of world leaders. But you underestimate Mr. Obama. He was actually looking for some useful information from the Danish prime minister for running the country. According to a study by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, which evaluated 71 nations in terms of entrepreneurship and performance, Denmark finished first, followed by Canada and then the U.S. in third place. So the ever conscientious Mr. Obama in looking for ways to elevate his country’s status and raise the business standards for all Americans, chose to cozy up to the personable and photogenic prime minister of Denmark, which makes much more sense than doing a selfie with the prime minister of Canada, Steven Harper.

Most egregious “selfie” ever from a President, and totally in keeping with the theme and personality of the ’toon: “Mission Accomplished”.
